You will inspect the condition of all kinds of plant, equipment and installations across your local area. For these roles we are looking for people who live in either south Edinburgh, or anywhere between Edinburgh, Falkirk and Livingston. What will you be doing? As an Engineer Surveyor in the machinery discipline, you’ll be responsible for planning, completing and reporting on the highest quality inspections across a wide variety of customers and industries. You will be field-based, and your diary will be centrally managed on your behalf leaving you to focus on doing what you love, making use of your engineering knowledge. You will carry out engineering inspections on a variety of plant, to ensure that they are safe for use and that they are compliant with regulatory requirements, such as LOLER and PUWER. From lifts to cranes to forklift trucks – you name it and we probably inspect it. You’re unlikely to have two days the same. What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll already have a Level 4 engineering qualification and a good level of practical experience. Alternatively, you will offer a significant level of practical experience and a Level 3 engineering qualification alongside a willingness to work towards a Professional Recognition Award at Level 4 (Licentiateship). You will spend the majority of your time on-site with our valued customers, so you must have excellent customer services skills and be able to communicate complex technical problems with ease.
