Job summary The Commercial and Finance Director will provide Finance and Commercial leadership across the Euston Development in the scope of developing and implementing long-term strategy and delivering a marked contribution to the broader Group goals. The role is a critical project leadership role requiring the post holder to have in-depth knowledge of development as well as substantial experience in managing in a complex stakeholder environment. This role is often the lead "day to day" role in managing key partners such as investors, JV partners, and other Government Stakeholder. An ability to effectively negotiate and for the partners to establish a high level of trust in the post holder is critical. Essential skills and experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a complex development or similar complex project environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which may include CA or CPA qualifications. Experienced leader with experience in development finance and commercial leadership roles. Detailed understanding of development modelling and finance and commercial issues. Effective negotiator. Duties & accountabilities: Overall accountability for the finance and commercial performance of the project, in partnership with the Project Director. Owns the implementation of project financial strategies, board papers and business plans providing technical guidance and monitoring delivery in alignment with the broader organisation vision and objectives. Owns the contractual and financial arrangements of the project and the strategic commercial and finance relationships. At all times provide a high level of transparency on the commercial and financial drivers for the project. Overall ownership of the project and investment models/appraisals and management of these. Ownership of the projects relationship with Finance Services and financial control environment. Ownership of treasury management including bonding capacity requirements and framework to optimise cash flow at business and project levels. Implement risk management strategies to support and inform management decision making. Staff management and development.
