Our client a statutory organisation reporting into central government with a turnover of circa £650 million is looking to hire an Interim Director of Marketing and Communications who can deliver the overarching marketing strategy. As a member of the senior management team the role will lead a team of 5 and will be tasked with delivering the new vision for a revamped organisation through engagement with a complex stakeholder group. The role will be instrumental in working with a range of external parties including government organisations and relevant trade bodies. Internally the role will be responsible for developing the organisations business proposition and will be the thought leader on adapting to relevant policy developments in the sector Applicants must have demonstrable experience on the leadership team developing and delivering engagement strategies during a period of change, a track record of effective stakeholder management externally and will have successfully led teams and have the ability to influence, motivate and persuade at all levels. Preference will be given to candidates who truly understand brand management and have demonstrable experience of working with the government as a client or a stakeholder and also applicants with exposure to the food sector
