Goods Inwards Inspector - Experience with CMM Machinery Greenwich, SE10 42.5 hrs per week Holiday pay, pensions and free parking. Due to a ramp up in production, we are recruiting an additional Goods Inwards Inspector on behalf of a global Engineering company, to work in a busy production environment in Greenwich, SE London. Goods Inwards Inspectors are responsible for the Inspection of incoming goods into the Stores and Warehouse environment. This may involve batch testing or spot checks on components used in the assembly of electro-mechanical & fibre optic subsea communication equipment. Basic training will be provided, but you must have experience gained within Inspection or QC roles and be competent working with Electronic assemblies. Ideally, as a Goods Inwards Inspector you will either be educated in an engineering field or have worked within a similar industry such as; Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Production, Military, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Robotics, Automotive, Aerospace, Aviation, Precision Engineering or Prototyping etc. IPC candidates will be preferred but not essential for the role. As a Goods Inwards Inspector you will be responsible for visually inspecting with the naked eye or microscopes - so MUST have previous experience listed on your application. Must have at least 2 years training and experience working with CMM machinery. Undertake visual inspection of assembled articles, manufactured by on site operators, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested. Use of magnifying glasses and microscopes to visually inspect quality of connections, assemblies, soldering and splicing. (Training for fibre splicing will be provided). Liaising with other departments and Supervisors to ensure the timely build and transfer of your product. Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service to our internal customers. Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times. Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions. Ensuring all company safety and quality systems are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Possesses a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and IT competent. Good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices. Previous manufacturing, production, technical or engineering experience would be desirable Ability to commit to rotating shift patterns on a biweekly basis Goods Inwards Inspectors Hours of Work (42.5 p/w) Monday - Thursday: 6am - 3.45pm (9 Hours paid) Friday: 6am - 12.30pm (6.5 Hours paid)

The role will require a level of manual handling, and long periods of standing throughout the day, so pleas bear this in mind when applying. You must have demonstrable experience of working continuously with serial numbers, where your attention to detail was paramount. Electronic, Electrical & Mechanical Assembly Technicians Wanted Days & Nights North Greenwich, SE10 Long-term Contract Assignments Starting Rates between £9-12 per hour 42.5 hours per week We are recruiting a mixture of semi-skilled & skilled Technicians with transferable skills and experience gained in electrical, electronic and mechanical industries, to work on sub-sea telecommunications equipment. Skills will be assessed at an initial assessment before forwarding successful applicants to team leaders for review. Roles and responsibilities are varied across the different departments, and based on your skills and experience you may undertake the following tasks: Undertake assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested. Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections. Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites. Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing. Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles. Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools Component & D-type connector soldering Electrical/Prototype Wiring Fabrication Electronics assembly Inspection PCB Building Wiring the suites for test. HOURS OF WORK Working Monday - Thursday initially of a 2-week rotating shift pattern of 2 weeks of DAYS & 2 weeks of NIGHTS. The working week will be either Monday - Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, depending on the department you will be working in.
