Contract Sales Assistant - Neville Lumb Competitive Salary - Based in Barking, London We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at our Neville Lumb Barking branch in the role of Contract Sales Assistant. We are looking to recruit for an enthusiastic individual to join the friendly team based in the contract department in the branch. As a Contract Sales Assistant you will be part of a team for ensuring customers receive the highest possible standards in customer service. You will ensure that orders are placed and deliveries received in time for arranged 'call-offs'. You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are made in line with pre-arranged times and customers receive the correct information in a timely and friendly manner. You will also effectively deal with telephone and email enquiries from customers and liaise between departments to efficiently answer any questions. Adhering to Company Health and Safety procedures and Business Controls is a must. Your main duties will include (but are not limited to): Place orders with suppliers. Ensure customers receive information and products in a timely and friendly manner. Build knowledge of product specification so can advise customers accordingly (training will be given). Complete pro-active sales telephone calls to contact existing customers. Apply various sales skills to capitalise on commercial opportunities. Effectively deal with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for products. Ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary. Liaise between departments and customers to efficiently answer general enquiries concerning deliveries. Ensure all orders received are entered into the system accurately. Ensure that the external sales team are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts. We are looking for someone who has; Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships. High attention to detail and ability to solve problems using your own initiative. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong telephone and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure. Sales experience, however this is not essential, as a can do, positive attitude and a willingness to learn is far more important to us. Training will be provided in most areas, but having the fundamental understanding of the importance of customer service is vital.We will develop your knowledge of our products and support you with a comprehensive induction programme.
