We are currently recruiting for a purchasing assistant for our client who are a major engineering company. The role will be based from their offices in Manchester. Initially the contract will be for 6 Months. Job Role Responsibility for allocated projects including D with typical volumes of £1m to £5m Develop closer relationships with key suppliers. Contribute to effective inter-departmental relationships by providing information and advice as necessary. Support opportunities to maximise the benefits of e-Business solutions, SAP functionality and the introduction and implementation of new initiatives. Play an active role in the tendering process on category D Tenders, and promote good working relationships with existing and new Suppliers to establish long term relationships. Ensure that Terms & Conditions secured with Suppliers effectively protect the business from the risks associated with projects. Requirements Commercial / contractual experience in negotiating Terms and Conditions Good knowledge of purchasing techniques and skills associated with the procurement of Manufacturing and Project equipment, goods and services including Incoterms Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
