About the role:

A really exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional care home manager to lead in the development of a new care home within a larger complex (due to be ready late summer 2019, under construction by Wates to the rear of the Folk Hall, New Earswick) whilst manage the current home until then including the move on of the residents into the new home as appropriate. This really is an exceptional role and one which will really show off your skills as a leader and manager.

As one of our Care home Managers you will be working alongside a great team delivering a person centred approach to all of our residents/tenants and providing leadership and direction to your staff.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the transition from the current home (Red Lodge) to New Lodge (working title) for both residents and staff as part of a larger project team
• Ensuring inclusive Leadership, supervision, guidance and support of staff in line with our company values
• Ensuring the delivery of quality care and ensuring that this is consistent and person centred, particularly important during the transition period
• Ensuring compliance with all CQC regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Leading a culture of continuous change in line with resident experience
• Managing financial budgets.
• Passion and a drive to succeed will be paramount in this role and we are looking for someone who can make a real difference seeking to continually evolve processes and have a focus on tangible outcomes whilst maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.

You will have considerable managerial experience working within adult social care, and be fully conversant with compliance and the application of legal and regulatory requirements. You will have strong people management skills and have experience of managing budgets and financial plans. Ideally you will be confident in managing people through a period of significant change.

You will also need to demonstrate practical knowledge of CQC Standards and Inspection Framework as well as Health and Safety in a Care setting. A collaborative approach with our residents, families and staff is essential.

You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check for this role.
